OPEN POSITIONS

Executive Director

DDI VANTAGE, a Salt Lake City-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving children and adults with special needs and their families in three counties, is seeking an Executive Director. With accountability to a Board of Trustees, this person will oversee the company and its programs by developing and implementing multi-million dollar budgets, efficiently allocating resources, interfacing effectively with various state and federal funding/monitoring agencies, ensuring the strategic growth of programs and services, and fulfilling other general functions of executive administration.

The successful candidate will have (i) experience and well developed skills in federal and state grant writing and applications, including strong writing and editing skills; (ii) functional understanding of and experience with employment law and federal/state requirements and regulations related to hiring and employment; (iii) understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and a working knowledge of the process of fiscal audit; (iv) effective communication and interpersonal skills; and (v) familiarity with health benefits programs and the requirements of health law.

Preferential consideration will be given to those candidates who have a working knowledge of and experience with (i) state and federal contracts, (ii) the nature and requirements of 501(c)(3) entities, and (iii) state and federal rules and regulations related to Early Intervention (Part C of IDEA), Early Head Start, and DSPD/vocational rehabilitation programs/services for adults with disabilities.

The candidate must possess, at a minimum, a master’s degree in a related professional field, three years’ experience in work related to services for people with disabilities, and three years’ experience in program administration. A reasonable equivalent combination of related experience may be considered.

Full-time Family Advocate Center-Based
Early Head Start - Child Care


We currently have two full-time openings in the Early Head Start program for a Center-based Family Advocate. This position will provide case management services in the center-based partnership for children and their families in the areas of early childhood development, disabilities, child health and safety, nutrition, and family partnerships. In this position you will partner with family and childcare teachers to monitor and update outcomes, as well as provide education and information to parents and childcare teachers for the successful implementation of goals. You will assure that families receive the appropriate services and referrals and will assist families in ensuring that their children’s needs are met. A high school diploma or GED is required. We prefer a BS degree in Human Development, Family Studies, Child Development or a related field and we require a minimum of one year of related experience in early childhood education, family services, or other related fields. Knowledge of community resources is a plus. This position comes with excellent benefits including medical and dental insurance, vacation and sick days, 18 paid holidays, 401(k) options, retirement through the Utah Retirement Systems, and mileage reimbursement at 50 cents a mile. Full-time Family Advocate/ERSEA Specialist
Early Head Start - Tooele


There is a full-time opening for a Family Advocate/ERSEA Specialist in our Early Head Start program in Tooele. As a Family Advocate you will provide services for pregnant women, children and their families in the areas of early childhood development, disabilities, child health and safety, nutrition, prenatal education, and family partnerships. In this position you will conduct weekly home visits to provide education, referral, and other advisory services to program participants. For the ERSEA part of the position you will support the eligibility, recruitment, enrollment, selection and attendance area of the EHS Program. You will participate in enrollment and recruitment activities including implementing recruitment plans in the community to identify and target low income families. You will also conduct application appointments with interested families, assist with prioritization and selection into the program, and track and input enrollment data. ERSEA Specialist
Early Head Start - Child Care


The Early Head Start Program provides services to low-income families with children in the birth to three age range and/or pregnant women. We are currently looking for a part-time ERSEA Specialist to support the eligibility, recruitment, enrollment, selection and attendance area of the EHS Program. In this position you will participate in enrollment and recruitment activities including implementing recruitment plans in the community to identify and target low income families. You will also conduct application appointments with interested families, assist with prioritization and selection into the program, and track and input enrollment data in the electronic information system. This job requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of six months in social or family services and experience working with children and families. This position comes vacation and sick leave, and 410(k) options, mileage reimbursement, and a flexible schedule. Driving is required therefore, you must be at least 21, have a current driver license, car insurance, and a good driving record. A background screen and motor vehicle report will be done on all new hires.

 

Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist
Early Intervention - West Site


A position has become available for a full-time Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist for our West site. In this position you will serve as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to provide home-based direct individual treatment to enhance the child’s motor, sensorimoter, and self- help development and facilitate parents and care givers in implementing a home program to achieve the desired outcomes. This job requires a qualifying degree in occupational therapy or physical therapy from an accredited college or university and Utah state licensure. A background working with infants and toddlers is a plus. Registered Nurse
Early Intervention - East Site


Are you looking for a rewarding career making a difference in the life of a child? Our Early Intervention program serves special needs children from birth to 3 years old. We are currently looking to hire a full-time (32 hr/wk) Registered Nurse to work at our East site in Salt Lake City. In this position you will be part of an evaluation team doing medical assessments on infants and toddlers in their homes to determine eligibility for our program. You must have a Utah RN license and we prefer some pediatric experience, however, we will train the right candidate in early intervention. Driving will be required for this position, therefore you must be at least 21, have a good driving record, a current license and car insurance, and reliable transportation. Somali Interpreter
Early Intervention


DDI VANTAGE Early Intervention program in Salt Lake City provides home-based services to special needs children from birth to three. We are looking for an on-call Somali Interpreter to accompany therapists to the homes of the children and families we serve to provide oral interpretation and written translation services. This position requires a minimum of one year of related experience in interpreting and translating in Somali. Driving will be required therefore you must be at least 21, have a current driver license, car insurance, reliable transportation and a good driving record. A background screen and motor vehicle report will be run on all new hires. This position comes with some benefits including a flexible schedule and mileage reimbursement.

 

Burmese Interpreter
Early Intervention


DDI VANTAGE provides home-based early intervention services to special needs children from birth to three. We are looking for a part-time Burmese Interpreter to accompany staff to the homes of the children and families we serve to provide oral interpretation and written translation services. This position requires a minimum of one year of related experience in interpreting and translating in Burmese. Driving will be required therefore you must be at least 21, have a current driver license, car insurance, reliable transportation and a good driving record. We offer vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and mileage reimbursement.

 

Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, or Speech & Language Pathologist
Part-time Duchesne County


Would you like a rewarding job working with infants and toddlers? Our Early Intervention Program in Roosevelt is currently seeking a part-time Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech and Language Pathologist to work with children from birth to three in Duchesne County. In this position you will serve as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to perform evaluations and provide home-based individual services to infants and toddlers with special needs and their families. You will also conduct developmental evaluations using appropriate assessment tools to assist in determining program eligibility. We will provide training in early intervention to the right candidate. Because driving is required you must have reliable transportation, a valid driver license, current car insurance and a good driving record. This position comes with some benefits including vacation and sick leave, 401(k) options, mileage reimbursement, and a flexible schedule. We require a degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech/Language Pathology and a current Utah license.
